
Gordon Hunt was born in London. He is currently principal oboe with the Philharmonia and London Chamber Orchestras. Hunt appears regularly as a soloist with leading international orchestras, and has worked with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Andrew Davis, Riccardo Muti, Sir Simon Rattle, Guiseppe Sinopoli and Jeffrey Tate. During the English Chamber Orchestra’s world tour, Hunt won extremely high praise for his performance of Bach’s double concerto for violin and oboe with Pinchas Zukerman. He has an increasingly busy schedule as a conductor, as well. Hunt is an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
